At present maintenance facilities in private sector are virtually non existent. National carriers - Air India & Indian Airlines are only undertaking in-house maintenance tasks. Starair Consulting possesses capabilities to setup full fledged maintenance organization in Avionics, Engine Shops and Air Frame maintenance. Various international MROs are also showing keen interest in seeking tie-ups with various Indian Organizations to setup maintenance workshops in India. Indian operators in next 4-5 years will require nearly 3000 Ab-initio Pilots for the planned induction of Aircrafts by various Airlines operators. Currently there is an acute shortage of quality flying training academies. Moreover the training facilities for type conversion on Boeings & Airbus with simulator facilities are non-existent in India.
